Charter Flight to Dream Catcher
For Kodiak hunts you will be picked up on Saturday morning at your Kodiak hotel and transported by shuttle to your floatplane flight to Dream Catcher. You will need to arrive Friday evening in Kodiak. At the end of your trip you will be able to catch the Sunday late flight back to Anchorage, barring any weather delays.
For Cape St. Elias fishing trips we will transport you from your hotel in Cordova to your floatplane for your flight to Dream Catcher. We will be glad to supply hotel suggestions.
Hunting License & Game Tags Alaska duck stamps and Fishing/Hunting Licenses can be purchased onboard.
Pricing
The Dream Catcher can accommodate up to 12 clients.
$2,750 per person for 1-8 people ( Min. 4 people)
$2,400 for 9th person
$2,200 for 10th person
$2,000 for 11th person
$1,800 for 12th person
Fishing Expeditions Rates & Dates
Since these are custom trips, dates are flexible dependent upon our calendar. We recommend that you book early to ensure the best dates.
About Rates
Our base rate is $500 per day per person for most trips such as Homer to Shuyak. For destinations such as Cape St. Elias, due to location and flying you to the vessel from Cordova, our base rate is $630 per day per person. We do offer reduced rates for children under 12. Due to the custom nature of Fishing Expeditions please contact us to discuss your trip.
Hunts/Fishing Expeditions include:
all meals, non-alcoholic beverages, linens, and towels. For Kodiak hunts we provide the floatplane charter from Kodiak to Dream Catcher.
Hunts/Fishing Expeditions do NOT include:
Hunting equipment, Licenses/tags, Alcoholic Beverages, Personal Hygiene Products, or shipping boxes/freezer bags (boxes & bags can be purchased on board for cost), or transportation to Homer, Whittier, Cordova, or Kodiak.
Fuel Surcharge
Due to varying fuel rates there may be an additional charge for 2010.
Licenses
Out of state hunters:
Hunting license is $85 and deer tags are $150 each (3 deer/person).
A 7-day fishing license is $55.
An Alaska duck stamp is $5.
The federal duck stamp is $15 and must be purchased at your local post office. The duck limit is 8 per day and 24 in possession for a non-resident.
The daily halibut limit is 2 per person. Since your daily catch will be flash frozen & packaged daily, the possession limit will not apply. You can catch more rockfish than you will want to retain.

Hunting Gear
Be prepared for whatever the Kodiak weather throws at you. The temperature ranges from 15 to 45 degrees, combined with fall and winter weather, which can include rain or snow and wind.

*Suggested Personal Hunting Gear
The ideal caliber rifle for Alaska is the 300 Winchester Magnum when hunting Sitka Blacktail Deer, Mountain Goat, Dall Sheep, Moose, Black Bear, and Caribou. The .375 caliber is recommended for Brown Bear. Forty cartridges are generally adequate. Be sure that the personal gear you bring is of the highest quality. |
